Day 1 VLADIVOSTOK
Your adventure begins! You arrive to Vladivostok*. Your English speaking guide will meet you at the airport with a sign “Trans Sib 2020”. The group will gather at 12:00 at the airport. After a lunch at a café, embark on a full day tour of Vladivostok covering the main attractions and more: including Vladivostok Railway Station and the C-56 submarine as well as many historic, cultural and architectural landmarks and viewpoints. You will visit the Vladivostok Fortress including two of the old batteries which now serve as museums. We also visit the Voroshilovskaya Battery located inside a real military base on Russky Island. This 80 year old building is a fantastic example of military architecture with its rational organization and efficient functioning. We also see the Pacific Navy warships stationed in the heart of the city which demonstrate the continuing importance of this port to Russia. In the evening you will board a train to the next point of our trip – Khabarovsk. * Please, note: the recommended arrival time is before 12:00 local time. Meals included: Lunch and Dinner. Day 2 KHABAROVSK
Arrival in Khabarovsk at 08:21. Your guide will meet you at the station and will take you to a café for an early breakfast. After a good meal, join in a Khabarovsk city tour around the historical center of the town with its beautiful streets and major landmarks. You will be brought to the city‘s central square – Lenin Square. Besides this, you will visit the Ethnography Museum that has more than 350 000 exhibits devoted to the Far East. The guide will tell you the history of the Far East and the way of life in this region from the old days until now. After the city tour, you will have lunch and visit a local zoo, where you will see all types of animal that can be found in the Far East. Overnight in a hotel. Meals included: Breakfast and Lunch. Day 3 DEPART KHABAROVSK
After the breakfast at the hotel, you will check out and travel to the train station to board the train to Irkutsk. Once on the train, admire the passing scenery while getting to know better your fellow travellers. Meals included: Breakfast. OVERNIGHT: in the train. Day 4 ON TRAIN
This day you will spend in the train. For accommodation at the train you can chose 2d class sleeper (4 beds in the sleeper: 2 lower and 2 upper ones. Each compartment has a table, a mirror, lockable doors and a large panoramic window. Bathrooms with small washbasins are located at each end of the car. Tea and coffee are available for purchase onboard the train. You can also travel in 1st class sleeper (1st class is a compartment for 2 people. All compartments are air-conditioned and feature 2 beds with a table in between them). Meals are not included into the price. OVERNIGHT: in the train. TRAIN: № 007.
Day 5 IRKUTSK
Arrival in Irkutsk at 22:23. Transfer to the hotel “Armat”. Check-in and overnight. Irkutsk is a large city in Eastern Siberia and the administrative center of Irkutsk region. It is situated on the bank of Angara River. Irkutsk is a cultural capital of Eastern Siberia. The city has more than 80 cultural and art institutions, including theaters, museums, libraries, art centers, and concert and exhibition halls. Irkutsk is a historical city with a large number of historically preserved neighborhoods. It has about 685 historical and cultural monuments, 108 of them are on the federal list of historical preservation. OVERNIGHT: in the hotel “Armat”.
Day 6 LISTVYANKA - OLKHON ISLAND
Breakfast at the hotel. Your guide will meet you at the hotel lobby at 07:00. Transfer to Listwyanka settlement, where you will board a fast-boat “Kometa” and travel to Olkhon island. On route your guide will tell you a lot of interesting facts about the Lake and you will enjoy its stunning views. Upon the arrival feel the energy of Olkhon island at its visit card place – cape Burkhan. Excursion will proceed along the southern part of Olkhon where you will board the “Kometa” ship and get back to Listwyanka settlement. During the trip you will have a packed lunch and dinner. Overnight in a hotel. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. OVERNIGHT: in the hotel “Nikola”.
Day 7 DEPARTURE TO NOVOSIBIRSK
Breakfast at the hotel. Your guide will meet you at the hotel lobby at 12:00. Lunch in a local restaurant, where you will try dishes made of Baikal endemic fish. Excursion in Listwyanka settlement: visit Baikal museum and Chersky Stone view point by a lift-chair. Transfer to “Talzy” museum. Excursion at the museum. Transfer to Irkutsk. City tour. Dinner. Transfer to the station. Board a train to Novosibirsk. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. OVERNIGHT: in the train. TRAIN: № 007 Departure at 22:52 Arrival on the 9th Day at 05:21 (local time).
Day 8 ON THE TRAIN
This day you will spend in the train and enjoy beautiful views of Russian nature. OVERNIGHT: in the train TRAIN: № 007.
Day 9 NOVOSIBIRKS
Early arrival to Novosibirsk at 5:21. Transfer to a hotel. Free time. Breakfast at the hotel. English speaking guide will meet you at the hotel lobby at 12:00. Get ready for a 5 hours long Novosibirsk city tour: you will visit Lenin Square - the main place of Novosibirsk where a very beautiful building of Opera and Ballet Theatre is located, the place of Novosibirsk (Novonikolaevsk) foundation, you will see the Chapel of Saint Nicolas which marks the center of Russia, the first brick building of the city – the Cathedral of Alexander Nevsky, wooden buildings located in the street Gorkogo – the oldest street of the city, the embankment of Ob river. The excursion will end in the Local Lore museum which presents history and ethnography, flora and fauna of Novosibirsk region. After lunch in the city, you will be transferred back to the hotel. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch. OVERNIGHT: in the hotel “Marins Park”.
Day 10 DEPARTURE TO YEKATERINBURG
Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out. Your guide will meet you at 12:00 at the hotel lobby. Lunch in a café. Excursion to Akademgorodok in Novosibirsk. Akademgorodok is 20 km south from the center of Novosibirsk, on the right shore of the Ob sea. Akademgorodok is one of the major science and education centers in Russia. It is a home to dozens of research institutes, Presidium of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SB RAS) Novosibirsk State University, Physics and Mathematics School. Return back to Novosibirsk. Dinner in a cafe. Transfer to the train station. Departure to Yekaterinburg. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. OVERNIGHT: in the train. TRAIN: № 019 Departure at 19:57 Arrival on the 11th Day at 13:36 (local time).
Day 11 YEKATERINBURG
You will arrive to Yekaterinburg at 13:36. The guide will meet you at the station and take you for lunch in a café. Afterwards, you will embark on a great Yekaterinburg city tour and a visit to the Europe and Asia boarder. Yekaterinburg is one of big Russian cities located in the central part of Russia, 1667 km from Moscow, located 40 km from the border between 2 continents Europe and Asia. The border passes through the mountain Berezovaya close to the town Pervouralsk. In August 2004, the stone monument had been established in a point of intersection of Europe and Asia; 2 stones from 2 parts of the world are the symbols of this monument, one had been taken from the most extreme point of Europe – cape Rok and the second - from the edge of Asian continent` s part – cape Dezjnev. In the evening, enjoy a dinner in a café before being transferred to the hotel. Meals included: Lunch, Dinner. OVERNIGHT: in the hotel “Visotskiy”.
Day 12 KAZAN
Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out. Transfer to the station, where you will take a train to Kazan. Upon arrival will be transferred to a hotel and have dinner. Meals included: Breakfast, Dinner. OVERNIGHT: in the hotel “Mirage”.
Day 13 KAZAN
Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out. Lunch at the hotel restaurant. Your guide will meet you at the hotel lobby at 13:30. Today you will enjoy Kazan city tour, which will last for 5 hours. You will have the chance to visit the most famous sights of Kazan: Kazan Kremlin, Old Tatar Sloboda, a Tatar village Tugan Avylym in the city center, the oldest mosque Marjani, Kamal theatre, the mysterious lake Kaban, Kazan Millennium Park, Liberty Square, the Kazan University, Kazanka river embankment, offering unique views of the coast of the Kazan Riviera, Peter and Paul Cathedral, the miraculous icon of the Mother of God of Kazan. Sightseeing tour includes a visit to the Kazan Kremlin. You will see the Spassky tower, leaning tower Syuyumbike, and government buildings, visit the Kul-Sharif Mosque and the Cathedral of the Annunciation. You will be delighted with the beauty of the architecture and fascinated by fascinating stories that will tell you professional tour guide. After dinner transfer to the train station where you will board the train to Nizhniy Novgorod. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. OVERNIGHT: in the train. Day 14 NIZHNY NOVGOROD
Today you arrive in Nizhniy Novgorod at 06:55. Here your Golden Ring adventure will start. Our driver will meet you at the station and take you to a café for a breakfast and some free time. At 9:00 you will meet with the guide who will take you for a Nizhniy Novgorod city tour: you will see such places as the Nizhny Novgorod Fair, the “Strelka” (fork), the Blagoveschensky (Annunciation) Monastery, Nizhne — Volzhskaya Embankment, Rozhdestvenskaya street, Ilyinskaya merchant settlement, the Kremlin; enjoy a walking tour along Bolshaya Pokrovskya street and visit the “Yurkovka” gallery (the richest collection of pictures, created in the technique of floral mosaics). You will also see the Museum of Regional Folk Arts and many local gift shops. After the tour, enjoy a lunch in a local restaurant. In the evening, you will be transferred to the train station to catch the train to Vladimir at 18:58. After a short trip, you will arrive in Vladimir at 20:53 and the night will be spent at to the hotel ―Russkaya Derevnya. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch. Day 15 VLADIMIR
After breakfast at the hotel, you will check-out and meet with your guide the hotel lobby. Unveil the magic of the famous Golden Ring – medieval towns Vladimir and Suzdal – the best places to experience Russian province. We start our tour by moving to Suzdal to walk on ramparts of its Kremlin and enjoy the onion domes and golden spires. In addition, you learn a lot about Russian history and culture. For the shopaholics and just people in search of extraordinary memorabilia the Suzdal Museum of Wood Craftsmanship open its doors. The huge variety of handcraft souvenirs will astonish you! Also you will be pleasantly surprised by its prices that are far lower than in Moscow. After lunch you will visit Vladimir Observation Platform to get enchanted by the panoramic view of this gem town. Then, through the medieval streets, we reach the Assumption Cathedral; its walls are covered with elaborate carvings, and here we can glimpse at Adrei Rublev‘s frescos – the most famous icon-painter in Russia. The next stop is the Golden Gate - the architectural masterpiece of that time. After exploring the Golden Ring towns, you will be transferred to the train station for your last train journey! Day 16 MOSCOW
Today, you wake up in Moscow! Make sure to have a hearty breakfast at the hotel to get ready to explore the Great Russian capital. Spend the day at your leisure – simply reflect on the beauty of the Trans-Siberian journey or embark on a day of sightseeing*. The city has much to offer whatever the weather from the famous museums such as Pushkin Fine Arts and Tretyakov Art Gallery to more outdoor areas including the Park of the Fallen Idols and Novodevitchy Convent. Of course, if the weather is not so good, Moscow is one of the few cities where a day spent on the metro is a tourist attraction with many beautiful stations to visit and all for the price of a single ticket! For relaxing, we recommend the bars, galleries and cafes of the Red October district or the fabulous Gorky Park. Meals included: Breakfast. OVERNIGHT: in the hotel “Starosadsky”.
Day 17 MOSCOW
