Lake Baikal is the oldest, deepest fresh water lake on Earth! Surrounded by mountains, the area is a buzzing hub of nature with many species of animals and fish, for example, the Golomyanka, which are unique to the area. The intimate ships accommodate only 12 passengers making this the optimum atmosphere for unwinding and taking in the awe inspiring surroundings.

The “Sibiryak” cruise ship was built in 2008 and has modern, comfortable amenities. The double cabins feature en suite facilities and the small boat has a restaurant and bar, ideal for getting together with fellow passengers and sharing tales. The “Tatiyana” cruise vessel features quad cabins and was recently refurbished. There is a cafe on board and a mini sauna where you can relax after a long day exploring.

Lake Baikal Cruise Ititnerary

Day 1

Welcome to the Pearl of Siberia- the beautiful Lake Baikal! Board the ship from Sahyurta Village at midday and begin your journey towards Sennaya Bay which is part of the Pribaysalskyi National Park. Stop at the white marble rocks of Saagan Zaba en route where you can see ancient paintings on the walls. Today there is also the chance to take an optional excursion to a Russian banya on the banks of Lake Baikal (payable locally). (L, D)

Day 2

In the morning there is an optional two hour walking excursion along the coast of Baikal from Sennaya Bay to Peschannaya Bay- this is a distance of 6 km so we advise that you are not obliged to take part if you do not feel that you are able to do so. This route passes the picturesque mountains on the Seaside Ridge. The ship goes through the Circum Baikal railway passage. In the evening take a walking tour to the abandoned tunnels and galleries. Day 3

Following breakfast travel through the passage to Listvyanka Village. Your time at Lake Baikal has come to an end as you disembark the ship. (B)

Lake Baikal Cruise Accommodation


Built in 2008 this modern cruise ship is considered to be one of the best in its class. With two decks and the facilities to accommodate 12 passengers you are sure to receive the best service from the 4 on board personnel. The Sibiryak is equipped a modern navigation system so you are sure to stay on track on your journey. The cabins featured are comfortable and en suite. The on board restaurant and bar are perfect for socializing with fellow passengers. The Sibiryak also has a sauna which is perfect for relaxing, and a platform for diving and fishing. Please note that there are only double compartments on board the Sibiryak cruise vessel.


The Tatiyana cruise ship is modern and comfortable with two decks. The ship was refurbished in 2008 and up to 12 guests can be accommodated at one time. Accommodation comes in the form of comfortable cabins without private WC. There is a café on board which is perfect for enjoying the company of your fellow passengers. The cruise vessel also features a mini sauna in which you can spend time relaxing. Please note that there are only quadruple compartments on board the Tatiyana cruise vessel.
