Take in the unspoiled beauty of Kamchatka in the Russian Far East on this exhilarating adventure tour! This special itinerary is devoted to watching Kamchatka brown bears in their natural habitat as well as taking in awe inspiring panoramic views of picturesque wilderness. Revel in the opportunity to swim in the largest healing hot springs in Kamchatka; take an optional cruise through Avacha Bay to view sea bird colonies; and visit active volcanoes. This truly is the adventure tour of a lifetime!

During the tour you will visit unique Dvukhyurtochnoye Lake where you can watch bears' fishing, Steller's sea eagle, traffic and spawning of salmons. You will have a chance to fish by your self and to taste dishes of salmon.
You will cross Kamchatka from the South to the North. Driving from one climatic zone to another you will get to the central part of Kamchatka, where the largest volcanoes of Eurasia are located. You will visit one of the most interesting places for tourists in Kamchatka – Klyuchevskaja group of volcanoes, which is an area of the biggest display of volcanic activity in Russia and includes the highest and the most famous volcano – Klyuchevskaja Sopka. You will have a chance to climb the southern volcano in the group: Plosky Tolbachik (3085) and also the new volcanic cones (299m and 278m) of the Northern break-eruption of 1975. You will walk across “The dead wood”, which was destroyed during the eruption. The route lies across the plateau of about 1000 m high, via high mountainous Alpine meadows and volcanic fields looking like lunar landscape. These fields witnessed the first Soviet vehicles Lunokhod 1 (moon vehicle 1) and Marsokhod 1 (mars vehicle 1) being tested.
You will accomplish motor boat tour by Avacha Bay and see the largest in Kamchatka “rookery” (nesting place of sea birds).
You will see famous Geiser Valley and you will be able to bathe in natural hot springs and in thermal water pools.

Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky is a main touristic base where adventure tours and expeditions to Kamchatka begin from. The city offers stunning views as it is located on the shores of Avacha bay among five volcanoes: two active ones, Avachinsky and Koryaksky, smoking Mutnovsky and Gorely, and Vilyuchinsky.

Valley of Geysers is hidden in one of deep canyons in the Kronotsky Reserve. 25 geysers stretch here at a distance of about 5 km along the Geysernaya River stream. A trail on the terrace above the valley floor provides views down onto the Fountain Platform. Unique opportunities to bath in thermal waters are available here.

Day 1

Welcome to the Russian Far East! Upon arrival in Petropavlovsk, you are transferred to your hotel before taking a trip to Paratunka where you can relax with a swim in the thermal water.

Day 2

Helicopter excursion to the Valley of Geysers, flight around Karymsky (1486m) and Maly Semyachik (1560m) volcanoes, walk excursion at the Valley. This valley cannot be compared with any other unique objects in the world. There are more than 20 big geysers in the valley. Velican (Giant), Zhemchuzhny (Pearly), Sakharny (Sugary), Troinoi (Triple), Konus (Cone), Fontan (Fountain), Maly (Small), Bolshoy (Big), Shchel (Split) – here are some names. There are geysers that gush forth every 10-12 minutes, while others may erupt once in 4-5 hours. The wreathes of steam, fountains of boiling water, incredible colours of slopes, hot water streaming along them and profuse greenery of grasses and trees create an enchanting spectacle. Lunch is served at the Valley. Boat trip around Avacha Bay. Watching sea bird colonies of Babushkin Kamen Island, Three Brothers Rocks. Going out into the Pacific Ocean to Starichkov Island. Watching the sea birds colony (including the Steller's sea eagle) which is the biggest in Kamchatka. Sea fishing. Lunch with salmon fresh soup. In the evening moving to the settlement Milkovo (280 km). Accommodation in hotel «Geolog». (B)

Day 3

Vehicle transfer to Kozyrevsk village (500km). Helicopter flight to Dvukhyurtochnoye Lake (40 minutes). During the flight, the weather permitting, you can see Alney and Chashakondzha volcanoes. Accommodation at the recreational and tourist base on the lake of "Dvukhyurtochnoye", in wooden houses, in rooms for 4-6 people. Bathing in the healing waters of the hot springs. Lunch in the wardroom. Rest. Walk (600 meters) to the shore of a mountain river "Dvuhyurtochnoye." Observing bears catching fish spawning. (B,L,D)

Day 4

Bear watching. Salmon fishing on the lake. Boating on the lake. Bathing in the healing hot springs. Enjoy fresh-caught fish, and more. (B,L,D)

Day 5
BASIC ITINERARY

Bear watching in the morning. Drive to the foot of the beautiful volcanic massif formed by volcanoes Ostry and Plosky Tolbachik (90 km, 4 hours). On the road, on a clear day offers views of the highest volcanoes of Kamchatka: Krestovsky (4057m.), Ushkovsky (3903m.), Klyuchevskaya (4750 m), Stone (4579 m), Plosky Tolbachik (3082 m) and Ostry Tolbachik (3672 m). LIGHT ITINERARY

Bear watching in the morning. Drive (80 km, 1 h) to Klyuchi settlement which is situated close to the foot of Klyuchevskoy volcano (the highest volcano of Eurasia continent, 4750 m). Accommodation at a private hotel. Visit to the volcano museum, strolling I the settlement and along the Kamchatka river. (B)

Day 6
BASIC ITINERARY

Observing the sequences of eruption 2013 (“young” cone, fresh lava flows, caves – “lavovody”, the stone sculptures and the heaps of hardened lava). Spending the night in tents. (B,L,D)

Day 6
LIGHT ITINERARY

Drive by off road car (45 km, 1,5 h) to the foot of Shiveluch volcano (3307 m). Walking (2-3 h) in the ash and pumice fields, canyon “Gamulov Wings” and “Dead forest”. By the evening drive back to Klyuchi settlement. (B,L)

Day 7
BASIC ITINERARY

Travel by car to the North breakthrough. Climbing to Tolbachik cones, which are volcanoes in miniature, their height of 100-200 meters. Moving to the South breakthrough (15 km.). Visit the Southern cone break, a walk in the "dead forest", crushed slag and ash eruptions in 1975. In the evening moving to the settlement Kozyrevsk, which is situated on the shore of the River Kamchatka (90 km, 3 hours). Accommodation in the private tourist shelter, in the wooden houses on the special equipped place. Classic Russian bath. Walking (B,L,D)

Day 7
LIGHT ITINERARY

Drive (130 km, 3,5 h) to the large mountainous combe formed of ridges of volcanoes Krestovskiy , Ushakovskiy, Klyuchevskoy, Kamen, Bezymyannyi, Ploskiy Tolbachik and Ostry Tolbachik. Walking (3-4 h) towards the canyon (450 m deep) of the river Studenaya. From there you can enjoy a splendid panorama to Klyuchevskaya volcanoes group. Drive to the main road (55 km, 2,5 h) and then by bus to Milkovo village (180 km, 2,5 h). Accommodation at hotel Geolog. (B,L,D)

Day 8
BASIC ITINERARY

Returning to Petropanlovsk-Kamchatsk (480km, 6-7 hr). On the way stop and lunch in Milkovo and bathing in Malki hot springs. Accommodation, rest. (B)

Day 8
LIGHT ITINERARY

Visit to the local museum of the aborigines of the Kamchatka river. Lunch at a café. Returning to Petropanlovsk-Kamchatsk (300km, 4-5 hr). On the way stop and bathing in Malki hot springs. Accommodation, rest. (B)
