VIENNA - VIENNA
DAY 1 VIENNA
Welcome aboard! Boarding at the river port starts after 15:00. Check in in your comfortable cabin that will be your home for the next 7 nights. Enjoy an evening Welcome cocktail before Dinner and the first night spent on board. Meals included: Welcome Cocktail, Dinner * transfer airport/railway station is offered for the extra cost, please contact us for great prices.
DAY 2 VIENNA
After a delicious breakfast, we will embark on a panoramic tour through highlights of the capital of Austria: the Opera, the Town Hall, the Parliament, the Burgtheater and the splendid Hofburg Imperial Palace. In the afternoon, enjoy the city at your own pace or add an optional visit to the Schonbrunn Palace. At midnight, the ship will leave the Austrian capital and sail in the direction of the Wachau valley. DAY 3 DURSTEIN AND MELK
Today we wake up in Dürnstein, a charming town in the heart of the winding Wachau valley with a fairy-tale medieval castle. You can directly access the historical centre of the city on foot, passing through the medieval gates of the city and reaching Pranger Square. From here a magnificent view opens over the ruins of the castle, famous for being the place where Ricardo "Corazon de León" was supposedly imprisoned. Do not miss an opportunity to taste the typical wines of the Wachau region. At noon, we will leave Dürnstein to enjoy the landscapes of the Wachau Valley. In the early afternoon, we moor in Melk, a small town located in the heart of the Valley. It is known worldwide for the Benedictine Abbey located on top of a rock overlooking the river (visit included for min. 6 passengers). Late in the afternoon, the ship will leave the town of Melk and sail in the direction of Linz. Night on board. Meals included: breakfast, lunch , dinner. * Melk Abbey tour is part of the excursion package to be added to the cruise cost separately * In season 2020, Day 3 can be amended to Krems, Weissenkirchen, Spitz or Rossatz, time of stay is subject to change
DAY 4 LINZ
Welcome to Linz! Linz is the capital of Upper Austria and a beautiful baroque city, located between the Danube Valley and the old salt route. It served as the most important port in the middle of the Danube since the 19th century. Enjoy a free day to discover the city. At lunchtime, we will sail in the direction of the capital of Slovakia. Night on board. Meals included: breakfast, lunch , dinner.
DAY 5 BRATISLAVA
Early in the morning, we will arrive in Bratislava, capital of Slovakia. Our guided tour will show you around this imperial city. We will see, among other fascinating places, the National Theatre, the Cathedral of San Martín, the Puerta de Miguel, the old town hall and the impressive fortress on top of a rock. In the afternoon, we will leave Bratislava and head towards Budapest. Night on board. Meals included: breakfast, lunch , dinner. * Bratislava sightseeing tour is part of the excursion package to be added to the cruise cost separately.
DAY 6 BUDAPEST
After breakfast, we will arrive in Budapest, the capital of Hungary divided by the mighty Danube into two parts: traditional "Buddha" and cosmopolitan "Pest". Our guided tour will take you along wide boulevards to the famous Parliament, the Opera, Heroes' Square, the Market, the Chain Bridge and the Fisherman's Bastion with its spectacular views over the city. You can't miss Budapest at night when the city dresses up. Enjoy it all at your own pace. Night on board . DAY 7 ESZTERGOM
After breakfast, we will arrive in Esztergom. It is an important place in the history of Hungary, as it was the first capital of the Kingdom of Hungary and it’s where the first King, Stephen I was crowned in 1000. The Basilica of Esztergom is the largest church in Hungary and serves as symbol of the city. Inside you can find the largest organ in Hungary. At lunchtime, we will sail to Vienna. At night, Captain's dinner. Night on board. Meals included: breakfast, lunch , dinner.
DAY 8 VIENNA
All good comes to an end. After breakfast, you’ll disembark the ship and transfer to train station or airport for onward travel. Meals included: breakfast. * transfer port - airport/railway-station is offered for extra cost please contact us for great prices.

Guest cabins on the MS Crucestar the Danube Explorer are located on four decks. All have a shower and wc, satellite television with a channel showing live camera footage from the front of the ship, a hairdryer, safe, intercom telephone. Standard cabins are compact and have a small window. During the day, one bed folds away and the other is converted into a sofa. Newly refurbished deluxe cabins are more spacious and have permanent hotel-style beds that can be configured as twins or doubles. They also have large picture windows that slide open. Wi-Fi on extra payment is available throughout the ship. The elevator has access to: Upper deck (no stairs), Reception level (no stairs), Middle deck (no stairs for deluxe cabins, short staircase for front cabins). To go to the Main deck you exit on the Main deck level and take a long staircase down.
