M/S Konstantin Fedin Cruise
14 days 13 nights from 1972.92 £
Cruise from Moscow to Astrakhan
The MS Fedin is an IntoRussia favourite and provides an ideal base for exploring Moscow, St Petersburg and other locations along the Volga River. With the completion of the impressive Moscow-Volga Canal in 1937, the capital was finally linked to the great system of waterways that runs from St. Petersburg on the Gulf of Finland all the way to Astrakhan on the Caspian Sea. As a result, it is possible today to follow the entire trade route along the Volga, from Moscow all the way to Astrakhan, the ancient capital of the Tatars. While cruising you will sail along almost the entire length of the Volga River to the edge of the Caspian Sea.
Highlights of this wonderful cruise include a visit to the picturesque town of Kizhi with its stunning 22 domed Transfiguration Cathedral and of course the hustle and bustle of the mighty Kremlin grounds in Moscow.
The comfortable 4 deck vessel has 3 bars and a spacious conference hall where you can socialise with fellow passengers and share tales of your journey. Cabins on board the MS Tolstoy are all outside facing are fully air conditioned and have private en suite facilities. Enjoy the passing views of rural Russia from your large picture window. Relax with some fresh air on the sundeck or with a cocktail in one of the onboard bars.
